Kala Brand Music Co., 4-String Ukulele, Fluorescent Blue, Soprano (KA-SWF-BL)

This is the second Waterman Ukulele. The first was for my grand-daughter when she was 1 1/2. Hers is the clear green and she loves it. She has become very good and as a result my son, her father (30), has learned how to play very very well. He purchased a "big boy" Kala. This purchase, the blue waterman, was for my grand-son now 2. He is amazing with instruments. He hears a rhythm and can mimic it almost right away. By the next day of having the Ukulele he was listening to kids songs and had the strum down perfect. Now he just needs to learn how and where to move his fingers. Thank you

The media could not be loaded. I got this uku back in dec of 2017 and wanted to give it some time before I leave a review. I have, oh I don’t know 4 or 5 ukuleles now and after taking my favorite one camping and then damaging it at he end 2016 I started looking for something that could get wet in kayaks in gulf or leave hanging off the back of a camping chair. The Florida humidity can be pretty rough on instruments when left outdoors. It works great for that purpose!! After letting the strings stretch for a week or so I was happy with how well it will stay in tune even when left out side on the back porch for weeks on end now. The sound is good for what it is but slides sound a little muted. (KAHNNNNNN!!!!!)I used some clear command hooks to mount strap. I didn’t want to void the three-year warrantee that is sooo cheap if you choose to go that route. It plays well in the bath and I’m thinking of putting different amounts of water in it to see if I can change the sound a little. If you don’t want to destroy your nice wood ukulele this is a really fun little uke to bring out in the world with you.

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this ukulele. Some of the review were good and others were bad. So I really just followed my gut and bought it. It works well and is water proof. It took a little while to get it into tune but other wise, I thought it was worth my money except, it had a couple of scratches on the bottom of it, but that no big deal and they are small and blend in so. I was satisfied with this purchase.

This is a plastic instrument. So me giving it five stars doesn't mean it sounds like a Stradivari. What it does do though is make a fun, reasonably loud and clear sound, it's easy to tune and play, and will be the perfect thing to let the kids take to camp. I do hope the frets (plastic) will hold up, no concerns otherwise.

Had my hands on it before sending it to Grandchild for Birthday. I'll get one for myself someday. Need ultra violet light or not. Great colors. Perfectly clear with strong tint. Extra fun! Very playable any age. Get a tuner to go with it.

While it is very waterproof, it only took two weeks of pretty light use for the strings to completely pop out and crack the bridge while I was playing. It'd be one thing if the strings just popped. I can restring the thing. But the bridge is too damaged to put any strings back on it. It's completely trashed. It also doesn't hold a tune for more than a few minutes. I don't know what I expected from something Made in China, I guess.

It's adorable and good for the price. I was worried at first because the strings kept getting out of tune but once you stretch them and play with it a bit it they start to behave. I thought I was going to snap them but if you have that issue just go slow and they will work themselves out nicely. Gorgeous color and nice enough sound for a plastic instrument. Overall happy with this purchase ✨️ 💕

I've bought two of these and I have them available for my teenage students to tinker around on. The sound is not the best once you've played a higher quality uke but these are definitely durable and decent for a beginner.
