Works well on the advertised materials but quite limited otherwise. On the more difficult materials its best to have second pair of hands to stretch/hold the material.

I bought this for a potentially strange sounding reason - to cut up large cardboard boxes (most of them from Amazon). It was an absolute luxury buy from that perspective and unfortunately it doesn't fully work for the purpose I intended. When looked at more logically, for cutting carpet, matting, vinyl etc - it performs much better. Its a big unit too - much bigger than the picture implies. If you already own a 10.8V unit (which you would need to as this is body only), look at the pictures and compare the battery area with the full body length - it's chunky. It has a jaw that opens widely and can either be fixed or a little loose. The blade is hexagonal and stays sharp through a clever sharpening system. the guard is very effective at protecting fingers etc. For the purpose I wanted - cutting cardboard - it sometimes works, slicing through like butter - but it often gets stuck on the frame - so the blade isn't actually in contact and requires manhandling to start recutting - and it's for this reason I mark it down a star. If youre actually using it for work and cutting matting, flooring etc (which I have tried) it works well and is recommended.

This has to be one of the worst Bosch tools I have had the misfortune to buy. I got it to replace a Xeo which finally after good service and many recharges, gave up the ghost and would not recharge. As soon as I took this brick out of the box I should have realised there was something wrong - it is extremely heavy and unwieldy. I wanted to use it to cut up a large cardboard box. It took me ages to do this and the tool kept on sticking. It was as if there was a setting with the cutter which was wrong but I cant see there is any way to change them. Not pleased at all, especially since, confident in my previous Bosch tools performances, I had bought a new battery an charger. I will probably keep the last two but return this brick.

Bought to trim 3mm PVC garage flooring. However the cutter is difficult to keep in a straight line and heats the PVC up too much and causes it to burr over. Yes, it cuts through cardboard fine, but it initially pulls, and if you go through any adhesive, it will bind up the blade. Not a surprise on the adhesive. Apart from cutting down large boxes or rough cutting thin plastic materials, it’s a bit of a letdown. Stick to using a trimmer from Wolfcraft or similar if you need a straight and clean cut.

The first thing that struck me when I got this was how much bigger and heavier it was than it looked in the pictures. On the plus side the construction is excellent as you would expect from Bosch. I bought this for cutting Gravoply engraving material (rigid plastic sheets 1.5 -2.5mm thick) which I realise it is not designed for, but I hoped it would work, and it does brilliantly!. I have tried it on thick cardboard and thick felt and it cuts those very well, it takes a while to get the hang of cutting in a straight line but it is possible with practise. I haven't tried carpet yet because I don't have any, but i'm sure it will cut it easily. It's a pretty niche tool, but if you have a regular need to cut flexible material i can recommend this.

La taglierina è piccola e maneggevole, utile se si debbono tagliare materiali piuttosto rigidi, oppure più strati sovrapposti. Io sono un tappezziere, e la uso solo con i tessuti più pesanti, perchè con i tessuti di medio peso, oppure molto morbidi riscontro una certa difficoltà a segure i modelli con precisione, e preferisco usare le buone vecchie forbici Robuso Trovo, comunque questa piccola macchina molto efficace, poco assetata di energia, per cui anche con batterie di ridotta capacità si ottiene una buona autonomia; robusta e ben costruita come ci si aspetta dal marchio Bosch.

Muy eficiente, pero muy pesada . En uso de periodo prolongado puede ser un inconveniente.

Me gusta, la usoen vez del cutter para cortar embalajes de cartón que tengo que reciclar en los contenedores que hay por la calle después de desembalar los equipos que me llegan por transñorte. Muy util, mejor que el cutter de toda la vida, haces menos esfuerzo y evitas el peligro de pegarte un tajo con el cutter en un mal gesto. Está claro que para trabajar bien hay que tener buena a herramienta.
