Oasis Clear Pond 18w UV Lamp

Q: Lotus/oasis green to clean6000 pond filter

As I live on Ibiza with a small pond on my patio I had problem keeping the water clear and algi free I had an 8 watt uv lamp in the filter and was advised to change it for an 18 watt as the sun is very hot, which I did and am sorry to say that I have not found a lot of difference but saying that I have removed all of the plants as they took over the space from the fish which could have made a difference now I dont have plants but a lot of slimy Algi sticking to the sides of the pond.
