Good replacement wireless card
I have a Dell Studio laptop that serves for TV and internet entertainment viewing. A couple of weeks ago, it was suddenly unable to stay connected to my wireless router, which meant no streaming video. The computer could "see" my wireless router, but could not connect. After confirming that the other wireless laptops and Kindle had no problem connecting, I decided to replace the wireless card in the laptop. This is the part number I found inside, so ordered the same thing. It only took a few minutes (note that I'm experienced in computer and electronics repair) to replace the card and clean the dust out of the cooling fan. The new card has worked perfectly.

I received this very late, however my bet it ...
I received this very late, however my bet it was the USPS fault since nothing gets here on time from them. I really wish they were not part of this process. Anyway I received this and plugged it into my laptop. I went to Intel to look for the driver. Intel officially does not make a driver for Win 7, however if you download the driver for XP and then the patch the device will work. So right next to the router it can download at 120 mbps, not close to what it is advertised. So if you are looking for speed as advertised, you are most likely out of luck, however if you want a stronger connection than G at 54mbps, then this is cheap enough to try. Beware of things too cheap, right?

A quick fix and a good deal
Bought this item to replace a suddenly dead Atheros 9285 WiFi card in a Toshiba C655. This is a half-size WLAN card, make sure you know what you're ordering. I ordered another card from another vendor and it was a full size mini lan card. This one is about the size of a half dollar coin, the "full size" was about 50% larger and would not fit my laptop. This one arrived quickly, at a good price. In 15 minutes, I was back on the internet with my laptop. It is a bit faster on the web now too and finds my home WiFi signal much quicker than the old Atheros. I'm pretty sure this one isn't cutting edge, but for my cheap laptop of which I use mostly for web surfing, it works fine. Once I get back out on the road with it (I travel a lot) it should prove even better.

Perfect replacement for Dell Inspiron 1545 Broadcom to get stable Linux performance
Bought this for my wife's Dell Inspiron 1545, which had a Broadcom card in it that worked miserable in Linux. This was an easy swap - just a few screws to life the network card/memory cover off of the bottom, popped the Broadcom out and put this in. Rebooted to a Linux Mint USB live system and it worked great. I went ahead and reloaded her system with Linux Mint 17. It has been rock solid since then...if you need a half-height laptop card that *just works* in Linux...this is it.

Still no 300mpbs
This added 5ghz capability to my laptop but I still cannot get the advertised 300mbps. I connect at 150 and iperf confirms I am getting close to that.40mhz Channels kill signal quality so even though I have an RSSI of -78dB I can barely load a webpage.Laptop:System76 Pan9 running a slightly customized ubuntu12.04AP: Xirrus XR520 WiFi ArrayI tried playing with the modules but it didn't make a difference.

Works great, but not for my computer.
I mean...it worked, but due to HP's BIOS settings in the Envy 17t-j100, it didn't work 100%. Every time I shut down, I would have to disable and re-enable the card in the device manager. But man, when it did work, it worked great. If you have an HP Envy, go for the BroadCom BCM4352, it worked perfectly for my model. If you are unsure, ask your computers' maker, they will know what will work and what will not work.Windows 8.1.

Good value if Bluetooth is not needed
This radio works well but lacks the Bluetooth radio. I did not keep it for this reason. If the form factor is compatible with your laptop I recommend it. Drivers are available from the Intel website and your computer manufacture. It may be best to try to get copies of these before you swap radios because your machine may not discover the new device correctly.

Excellent replacement for old laptop
I replaced the WiFi module in my wife's ~5 year old Sony Vaio VPCCW laptop with this Intel 5100 module and it worked perfectly. Easy swap with the same number of antenna connections and was recognized right away by Windows 7. The laptop can now access our 5.0GHz WiFi network. Performance is excellent.
