Good Replacement
For whatever reason my original XBox One started having issues with maintaining connection with wireless controllers (what can you expect, it's about 12 years old). Until I can figure out that issue I still need a controller which I can rely on to function so a wired one was my only option and this one looked good. It functioned perfectly right out of the box, despite it being an old console and having years of dust in the USB port that needed cleaning out. I haven't done much intense gaming with it yet but it seems like it has pretty good responsiveness and it feels good in the hands. Never had a controller with back paddles before... Neat feature is there are locking switches for each of them so if you want the feel of a solid back of the controller just lock them and they will not toggle, they're fixed. Honestly, when you're using it with them locked it's hard to even notice that they are there I might update once I've had some more games under my belt with it but so far it seems like this controller is a good value and worth the good ratings

Better than standard Xbox controller
I play on PC, and have used the OEM standard Xbox wireless controllers exclusively for years. This G7 SE although wired is noticeably better. The Hall Effect sticks and triggers feel great and precise. The USB-C connection on the controller is brilliantly recessed which protects against damaging the port if cable gets snagged or yanked. With Gamesir’s Nexus app you can easily update the firmware, set polling rate to 250hz 500hz or 1000hz, set hair trigger mode, map buttons and more. Excellent value, premium feeling/performing controller. Wired connection is a non issue as I sit at my desk while gaming.

Bright, Fun, and Responsive Xbox Controller
This orange wired Xbox controller is fantastic! The color is bright and fun, making it easy to spot, and it feels comfortable to hold during long gaming sessions. The buttons and triggers are responsive, and the wired connection means no lag or battery worries. It’s sturdy, well-made, and a great option for anyone who prefers a wired controller for reliability.

The Crème de la Crème of 3rd party controllers!
What sets the Gamesir G7 SE apart is that it does pretty much everything well. Here is a list of features that I feel set this controller apart from other contenders: 1. It has smooth hall effect sticks and a nice D-Pad that isn’t too stiff or clicky 2. The buttons are comfortable to press and responsive 3. It comes with a color-matched, 9.8-foot braided USB cable. The cable also has an attached Velcro strip for wrapping up the cable, which is a classy, thoughtful touch. 4. The buttons on the back can be locked to prevent accidental inputs. 5. It also has swappable faceplates that you can buy separately if you can find them for sale. I bought a red face plate to put on my white G7 SE, and it looks great. 6. It works flawlessly on Series X and PC with no issues. Most importantly, it excels at its most important mission, gaming. I’m picky when it comes to controllers and I can’t find anything to criticize. This time, I purchased the orange version, which looks fantastic. I’ve tried many 3rd party controllers, and usually there are one or two things about them that irk me. In contrast, the Gamesir gets all the little details right. Happy gaming!

Hall effect is the way
Purchased this controller because I already own a hall effect keyboard and was intrigued to learn this controller has hall effect sticks. I own an Elite 2 and absolutely despise the thing (has been nothing but a plethora of problems). I've always defaulted to standard MS Xbox controllers but sick of replacing the controller or sticks once stick drift gets so bad. I figured I'd give an alternative to analog a try. So far this controller has been impressive, especially at it's price point. After some tweaking in Nexus, the sticks feel better than any controller I've ever owned. It's lightweight and feels study enough to last, though standard MS controllers still feel like a better build overall. The sticks are responsive, very low input delay and micro adjustments are effortless. I love the fact I can customize my response curve and dead zone settings outside a particular game and that the sticks feel "true to touch" to my input. My only complaints: Some of the buttons are somewhat below par on responsiveness. Sometimes I find myself having to press a button more than once for it to register. I also don't like the layout position of the menu/view buttons. It took some re-adjusting because of their placement, but again, it can take a couple presses for a response which can be annoying if you are playing games that require to view a map or menu quickly. Overall, I'd recommend this controller for those on a budget and who would like more responsiveness, customization and accuracy from their sticks as opposed to what MS has to offer.

Good quality, excellent purchase
Better than expected, button pressing feels nice and no wandering on the sticks. The usb c to a length is huge so it saves you a bunch of time on batteries.

Works Great and Just as Described
The GameSir G7 SE Wired Controller for Xbox Series performs exactly as advertised. The fit and finish feel solid, and the wired connection is reliable with no noticeable input lag. Button presses are responsive and comfortable, and the overall feel in hand is similar to first-party controllers. Setup was simple — plug it in and it works immediately with the console. All of the buttons and triggers function as expected, and I didn’t have any issues during gameplay. If you’re looking for a wired Xbox Series controller that does what it’s supposed to, this one delivers. Good value and exactly as described.

Garbage don't buy
Bought the first one on 9/9/24 it refused to stay connected at 1000hz. Only 250hz worked on PC. I pursued the support avenues of going to their Discord which is a waste! They keep latest firmware updates hidden and refuse to share or post them. Their own software doesn't update to the latest firmware either. Needless to say latest firmware does not keep these controllers at 1000hz, they want you to run a file that adds a registry change which works only while Windows 11 is running, one reboot and the change is gone because it's not done properly and Windows 11 removes it. So you have to constantly keep installing this usb patch to get 1000hz on PC to work. Don't ask why I was dumb enough to buy a second controller on 9/25/24 but I did. It had surprise the exact same issues! Cannot keep the 1000hz settings under Windows 11. Their so called support in Discord had a solution if you wish to call it that. They recommend I downgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 7. I'm sorry but why on earth would I want to run a obsolete and unsupported OS just for your controller? They've contacted my via Amazon messaging only after leaving the first controllers review as bad. The message they gave me is basically " we want to make it right" but did nothing to do that. All the time in the Discord they ignore you and act like you are bothering them by asking for support. The Discord is full of clueless script kiddies using obsolete OS's. Emails to their support go unanswered and warranty claim is impossible. They reply to no email addresses I've contacted. If these controllers are NOT able to run at 1000hz in Windows 11 then STOP advertising them as able to do so because they are NOT. Also the included USB cables look great, except for the fact the are so cheaply made they only last a few weeks, just long enough to make it past the Amazon return window. SO now I have 2 of these useless controllers, they work with my own provided USB cable but they do not keep the 1000hz settings no matter what. There are other controllers on Amazon that run at 1000hz and you need to do nothing, they work right out the box and keep the 1000hz setting. I don't recommend these, they only last long enough so you cannot send them back and the Manufacture only wants good reviews and does nothing else to support the product or refund you. To the support person who doesn't want bad reviews on Amazon. Make a working product and change the description, it's not working under Windows 11 and you know it. You also don't have software capable of even updating to the latest firmware, which you attempt to blame 99% of the issues on and it's not that at all. Want to make it right? Refund the people who had these trash controllers survive 30 days and become useless and those who you ran around for over 30 days trying to get support of your useless Discord and bogus email addresses.
