Visual Aid Every Young Golfer Needs on the Green
As a dad helping my son dial in his putting game on the practice green, these orange alignment gates have been a welcome addition for our sessions. The size is excellent—both the height and width give a clear 60mm window that’s just challenging enough for him when used for specific drills, and the bright orange color pops even in low light, making it a great visual starting gate when paired with a string line. They’re a fantastic addition to his putting practice, especially for working on that start line and face alignment together. I really only need one gate for most drills, but having two (or the set of four) is nice for options—like setting up multiple distances or using an alignment stick between them for that extra precision we’re building. They’re fine to set perpendicular to your line, and the rigid plastic holds up great even if he accidentally nicks it with his putter. The anchor spikes, though, are a bit aggressive (they dig in, which is stable but makes slight adjustments tricky from the bigger holes they leave), so I’d love narrower spikes for smaller holes next time—but that’s a minor nitpick. Overall, these have sharpened his reads and confidence on the greens; worth every penny for any dad helping coach a junior golfer.

Good Tool to Dial In Your Putting
These putting gates will be a great addition to anyone's golf training aid kit. It is made out of durable plastic so they are light and easily fit into a golf bag. The gates easily plug into practice green and easy to line up using an alignment stick. I didn't upload any photos with an alignment stick on top but the gates have a groove on top where you can easily place an alignment stick. The quality is good and they function well as intended. Only reason I gave these four-stars instead of five is because the marks left by the gates are little bigger than I would've liked. I think the plugs could've been smaller to minimize marks on the green.

Putting target practice
I tested this 4-pack of putter gates to work on my stroke consistency and found them to be a very solid, literal "aiming point" for practice. Here is the breakdown of the technical build and on-green performance. Build Quality & Dimensions Heavy-Duty Plastic: These are made of 7mm thick, high-density plastic. There is absolutely no flex here; they are rigid and built to take a hit from a golf ball without snapping. Gate Clearance: The gates are 60mm wide. Given a standard golf ball is roughly 42.7mm, these leave about 17mm of total extra space (8.5mm on each side). It’s a fair but demanding window that forces you to square the face at impact. High Visibility: The bright orange color is excellent. It creates a very clear focal point for your eyes, even on longer putts or in late-afternoon light. Setup & On-Green Use Leveling Design: The sidebars are a great touch. They act as a "stop," ensuring you don't push them too deep and helping you keep the gate level across the line. Ease of Insertion: Because the plastic is so firm and the tips are narrow, they slide into the green easily. They insert about 15mm deep into the surface. The "Pace" Factor: These are great for direction, but keep in mind that at higher speeds or longer distances, a direct hit will start to tilt or push the gates over. You will likely need to reset them occasionally during a long practice session. Alignment & Etiquette Setup Time: With four gates included, you can create a great "string" of targets, though it does take a few minutes to get them all perfectly aligned on your intended line. Green Care: Important Note: When you pull these up, they leave two distinct 5mm x 7mm holes in the turf. Out of respect for the greenkeeper and the course, make sure to tap those marks down before moving to the next hole! Final Verdict These are a fantastic tool for anyone trying to perfect their roll and pace. They are durable, easy to see, and highly effective. They also double as a fun "golf croquet" game if you want to change things up on the practice green. Pros: Very rigid 7mm construction. Sidebars ensure consistent height and leveling. High-vis orange is easy to aim at. Cons: Hard hits will eventually dislodge them. Leaves noticeable marks in the green that require a quick fix.

Must have if you want to improve your putting.
I set these putting gates up on the practice green to help work on alignment and starting the ball on the right line, and they’ve been really useful during practice sessions. They were quick to set up and the size makes them easy to position in different spots depending on the drill I’m working on. After rolling putts through them for a while it really highlighted when my stroke was slightly off line, which helped tighten up my consistency. The material feels sturdy enough to handle repeated use and they stayed in place well while practicing. Overall they’re a simple but effective training aid that makes putting practice a lot more focused and productive.

Lightweight, helpful and fun tool for improving putting accuracy
For what these are - simple, solidly made, plastic, U-shaped "putter gates" - I find them helpful devices to hone one's putting accuracy. I took them to our local, public, practice putting green and, frankly, was challenged to get my ball to go through them. I mean, that's a good thing. I found myself concentrating more on the minute details of the terrain (sigh, which I should be doing all the time anyway). The gates are not that wide - about the width of a green's hole - so one has to be accurate to make it through them. I like that they are super lightweight and can easily be carried in your regular bag or a Sunday bag. And, I like that they can be pushed only so far into the ground due to a side "stopper," insuring exact height every time. The orange color is not only cool but is also usefully visible. Now, the price is a bit steep for a plastic product - but they are smartly designed and not a gimmick, so I am forgiving the vendor's price tag. Bottom line: useful tool for improving your golf game.

They do work to hone your putting skills.
For years my husband has been using his "homemade" putting gates. They have worked for him but they were pretty primitive. I thought of him when these came up on vine. I don't know that we would have spent the listed price for these but, maybe. So he takes them to his regular course and sets them up to practice. His feedback is positive. Easy to set up/take down. Can be used for playing little games. They give instant feedback on your putting alignment and stroke. He says that he doesn't use all four of them on the same putting line. Instead, he sets up two to one line and two for another line rotating the shots to give more feedback. These have a little notch one center line to put an alignment stick for added visual aid. All-in-all, he likes them and his golfing buddies do too.

These 60mm orange putter gates are fantastic for putting practice. They’re bright, easy to see, and do a great job helping with alignment and stroke consistency. I’ve noticed a real improvement in my putting accuracy since using them. The size and design are perfect for both indoor and outdoor practice, and they’re sturdy enough to stay in place without sliding around. They make practicing more precise and even a bit fun. If you’re serious about improving your putting, this set is a simple but highly effective tool — definitely worth every penny.

Sturdy & Stays Upright Even On Windy Days!
These putting gates closely mimic traditional golf hole circumferences, making it a really good putting practice tool to have. I tried to use them on my turf mats in the backyard, but they are not sharp enough, nor are the sharp points deep enough to go through the green putting turf we typically practice on. With that said, during the summer/warmer months, we cut our grass really short & that's when these will come in handy. You can also take them to the golf range/putting practice area & use them on around the outskirts of the chipping/putting green areas where the grass is cut shorter. Each putting gate is very hardy & durable. When placed in the ground, they are sturdy enough to stay upright even on a windy day. These are really great because they are so small & portable, you can throw them in your golf bag & use them whenever you need them.
