Optimum Coppertop AA Batteries with 4X Power Boost Ingredients 30 Count

I’ve tried many different types of AA batteries over the years and I find that the Duracell Optimum last the longest especially in high use items such as an electronic deadbolt. I use these in a deadbolt on a vacation home and only need to change once every 6 months. The 30 count was priced very well and I’ll buy them again.

I record the audio of wildlife quite often in the field. I use 32bit Zoom Handy and VR recorders for all sorts of sound capturing for my projects. Long lasting and affordable batteries are very important when working away from house or studio power. I started using Energizer a long time ago for a long time, but the quality has gone down hill over the years. They do not last as long as Duracell's regular Copper Top batteries. I can get 4-8 hours out of Duracell's Copper Top AAs, and around 12-14 hours out of the Optimum. I have tested this while camping where I leave the recorders recording throughout the day and overnight to capture the critters of the day and night as I sleep. My VR recorder uses 4 independent mics pointed in different directions, so more power is needed to power those and mix internally to either 4-channel tracks or a fuller stereo field. I get about 12 hours on a full charge of 2 AA Optimums in this recorder. Up to 14 hours on my other two recorders. It is very dependent on how many phantom power channels that you use from the recorder, but going minimal with just built in attachments for point and record and move around while recording rather than many channels and having to stay still because of all the cables, the batteries will last longer with ewer phantom powered channels activated. I am more than happy with these batteries. I only buy Optimum now! For Alkaline batteries, these are amazing! I highly recommend that you do not use Lithium batteries for field recording. They can be unstable in high and low temperatures and very sensitive to moisture if you are in a wet place or in humidity.
